Frequently Asked Questions

Our Level 2 course is the perfect place for you to get started. Many of our students who join us on the VTCT Level 2 course have no previous experience with facials or in the beauty industry and most students join us with the intention of changing careers.
-
Absolutely. Our Level 2 Facials and Skincare course and Level 3 Facial Electrics course are both accredited by VTCT and widely accepted by insurers.
Our short courses in Gua Sha, Facial Cupping and Acupressure and Facial and Intraoral Massage have two accreditation routes, depending on your previous training.
Students who already hold their Level 2 in Facials and Skincare will receive a BABTAC qualification for our short courses, which is widely accepted by insurers.
Students who hold a similar qualification in massage, reflexology, acupuncture etc. will receive an ABT certificate. We recommend contacting your chosen insurer ahead of signing up for the course, to be certain that the ABT accreditation will be accepted.

Our VTCT Level 2 course has no prerequisites and is for absolute beginners to facials. Our VTCT Level 3 course requires students to have completed and passed their Level 2 course before enrolling. For our short courses, we ask that students hold their Level 2 in Facials and Skincare if they would like a BABTAC certificate at the end of the course. We do accept similar practitioners on our short courses, such as massage therapists, acupuncturists, reflexologists etc. and an ABT certificate will be awarded at the end of the course.
Unfortunately, our short courses are not suitable for beginners to the industry and we recommend completing our Level 2 course first. -
We understand that our students may have had a poor experience in formative education and coming back into the classroom can seem daunting. At re:lax skin school, our teachers create a supportive environment for you to learn and grow as a therapist and a safe space for you to make mistakes, as everyone makes mistakes while they learn. Our teachers can’t wait to welcome you and make you feel comfortable and if you require any additional support, please feel free to email us.

We are located on the second floor of a shipping container complex called Containerville. Unfortunately, Containerville is not an accessible venue, as it does not have a lift and the only means of getting to the second floor is via the stairs.

Each of our courses can have a maximum of eight students. Capped at this number, our students can receive a lot of support and individual attention from their teacher during the practical sessions.

We offer interest free payment plans for all of our courses, as we believe in making training and upskilling more accessible. Our course fees can be divided into three payments to spread the cost. For our VTCT courses, the first payment is your deposit and confirms your place on the course. The second and third payments are due prior to each practical weekend.
We also offer payment plans for our short courses. The full course fees are due prior to starting the three day practical course. -
Our courses are taught through a combination of online theory, videos and practical learning days. If you are taking our VTCT Level 2 or Level 3 courses, you will be examined during the course with written exams, essays and a practical exam. Our BABTAC/ABT accredited short courses do not have exams and you will not be assessed.

We can facilitate resits at an additional cost. The date your resit will take place is dependent on space being available in a future cohort and our teacher and invigilator availability.
